Update on me

After getting my records from MN, the WLS  down here agreed that the reason my ulcer won't go away is that the stiches in my anastimosis are irritating the area of the ulcer and won't allow it to heal. I've been trying to get my ulcer to heal since March. The surgeon says that I need to have a revision, which I'm assuming to mean that he will cut out the old stiches and reattach my pouch to my small intestine and make a new anastimosis. He's sending a letter to my insurance company to get approval. He said they may deny it, saying that my problem is a complication of the original surgery, which they did not authorize. My current insurance company DOES allow WLS, but obviuosly they didn't approve it for me because I had it up in MN. So we're in limbo until we hear from the insurance company. I'm  hopeful because we've tried everything else with a gastroenterologist and he didn't know what else to do with me. I'm hoping to have surgery within the next couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted.
