The insurance company sent me swimming in DeNile
Denied, but not up the creek.
Today I got word that I've been denied for the surgery, but I will, of course, begin an immediate appeal campaign. I know that dozens before me have been denied and later followed through with the appeal process to eventually be approved.
Save my goddamn seat on the losers' bench; I'm still coming as soon as I'm done swimming up the longest river: DeNile.

I hope your appeal is swiftly reviewed and approved. Be sure to keep us updated. I don't have a doubt that you'll get your butt on the bench eventually. Sucks that it's later than sooner, but you'll get here.

I wish you all the best in your appeal! I'm going through the appeals process myself with BCBS/MN currently, but I have faith that it will be overturned! If not, the trustees with DH union will get to hear me on my soapbox (it's a self managed fund). That and the 300 pages of studies I've printed off thus far... I think of it as the filibuster of the insurance world.. If I talk long enough, they'll approve me just to shut me up! LOL!
