Day 1 of Liquid diet...no word from HP yet...

So I just finished day 1 of my liquid diet.  I was surprised at how well everything tasted.......except for the strawberry shake...yucky (I've always hated strawberry!)

I can certainly see where this will get old real fast.....and I have 10 days pre-op and 3 weeks post op.....

I guess I better learn to love it.....LOL

I'm still a bit worried about my insurance....they havn't sent me or Unity a letter of approval yet and they never take more than 2 weeks....it will be 2 weeks on Monday.....I'm worried they will deny me....

Girl you'll be fine and you will get approved as long as you did the requirement.  As for you liquid diet first couple of days are rough i been on mine for 3 days and i have 19 days to go.  My surgeon put me on a  three weeks diet and my surgery on 7/30

I'm at work right now dreaming of Jimmy Johns....LOL,  Day 2 sucks even worse......I'm hoping it will get better........I'm fine as long as people leave me alone and don't discuss food....I sit here and enjoy my jello, pudding and protien shakes....until they speak.......LOL

I feel ya on that.  I actually love chicken broth soup and im going to try different flavors as well they vegrtable and beef.

The LD I purchased online has HERB-OX broths, the chicken is fantastic, 10gr Protein too! I haven't tried the Beef yet, I'm sure it is just as good.

I'm not gonna lie- I think the pre-op liquid diet was super hard and it got harder as time went on. I wanted to chew something, and not gum! But, it was worth it for sure. I felt prepared for my post-op diet and I lost over 15 lbs in the 2 weeks pre-op and it seemes like I had a head start. Good luck with everything! Its gonna be so worth it!

Oh, and I have HP too and they took almost 3 weeks to give me the go ahead, but I will say those were the longest 3 weeks EVER! ;)
