It has been a while and warnings
Hi all, don't know who all remembers me here. I am Jess and had RNY a little over 5 years ago. I started my journey at 279 and passed my surgeons goal of 160 to 142. I was so excited to be where I was. All in all I have been maintaining for the last 3 1/2 years. I wanted to stress the importance of taking your vitamins. I am recently dealing with some serious health problems (not all due to vitamins, I have lupus as well) I stopped taking vitamins for about 2 years and that landed me deficient on b12, D, K, Iron. I am now on a million prescription strength vitamins. I wanted to ask for some prayers for Monday I have to go in the hospital for some dangerous tests, mostly to do with my Lupus but the vitamin deficiency has made them worse and more dangerous. Hope all my old peeps are doing well and hi to all the newbies.
Oh and update on my crazy Jackson.......he is 3 1/2 now and crazy as ever.

I'm so sorry you have to go through some possibly difficult times with your health. In a way i can relate. I had my RNY on Dec 18 and developed complications that kept me in the hospital for 2 month. I ended up having third surgery and was in for another month. I'm doing pretty well now and fianlly having a little bit of fun with the weightloss. I take my vitamins everday but forunately i'm just on B12 injections, 2 flinstone chewables and calcium. It is so important to follow the Dr's orders isn't it.I hope you get through your tests unscathed. I will keep you in my thought and prayers that it all goes well.

Good to see you back Jess! Glad to hear an update..sorry you're having a rough time. I'm having issues with my vitamin levels as well...even though I've always been taking them. I am very very low in vitamin D and it makes me feel horrible. My iron is always low as well. So frustrating. I'll keep you in my prayers. Any new pics of Jackson...I miss seeing all the cute pics of him you used to post. Update us on how everything goes with your tests.
Hey Michelle!!!!!!!!!!!!! What they did to get my vitamin D back up was 50,000 units 3 times a week for a month then 50,000 units 1 time a week for a month. My D went from a 7 to 37 in the 2 months.
I am not sure how to add a picture to this of the crazy boy.

Hi Jess! its been a LONG TIME-miss seeing you and the cute lil guy-Jackson must be huge now!
I hope all is well-update us soon and let us know. The vitamins are SO important to us WLS people-you would think we would be religious about it, but many have a hard time sticking with it. I have been really good at taking mine, and still have low D levels! You look great-post some new pics of Jackson for us and give him a hug for me,
