Yep I am home...got home yesterday....last night i slept fairly well, until about 1am..then woke up to find that I had pooped in bed....it was so so gross!!!  I was all crying and my honey he cleaned it up...i went cleaned myself up, went to the living room took my very icky tasting vicodin syrup and fell asleep....it sure did feel good to take a shower this morning...lol

I cannot really stomach any of the creamier foods...the carnation instant breakfast was okay...about 6 sips then my tummy hurt...so i have been sticking with water and tea now for a bit.

And this drain i have is gross...it leaks all over me...icky...i cannot wait for next monday to get that thing outta me!!

Well thats all so far...lol

Good to hear things went well. I could not tolerate the CIB post op...

Just rest, relax, and sip sip sip... chicken broth was my best friend post op. Lots of protein too!

Welcome back from the Hospital.  It sounds like a tricky first night home, but i'd expect everything from here will be positive.

Hang in there,

Hang in there LisaAnn.. it gets better from here.

I did not do the CIB.  It was too super sweet for me.  I did the Nectar Protein shakes or plain old milk..

Did they show you in the hospital how to tape the gauze around your drain?  That made a big difference for me.. Also you gotta keep that plug closed.  More than once mine popped open because I was hopping around too much.

Wishing you a restful evening tonight!

Stephanie

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

OMG sweetie i'm so sorry you had a bad first night home. it gets better, really, but please know its ALL about YOU for at  least the next couple months.....and then mostly about you for another year. just level setting expectations here, which you might want to do with those around you day to day. it takes time. hopefully you will be off the vic soon and not have to deal w/that factor......do keep that drain opening covered with gauze and tape all four sides around, that should help with the leaking until Monday rolls around. hang in there. and take this critical time for YOURSELF.

Each day gets a little bit better.  Be kind to yourself, rest and just keep sipping away.  Fluids are extremely important.  Even when you think you can't, remember you can.

Feel better

Lauren
