I'm new to this whole thing after having RNY in Mexico on 06/12/09. Can anyone join in for coffees? Or, are there local support groups in the Maplewood/White Bear area? I think I want to do this journey with some peers and veterans by my side. Thanks.

Yes, everyone is welcome at any of the coffee get-togethers posted here, and you are WISE to attend! You will find support, humor, answers to your questions... It's just a smart move to get involved.

I'm not horribly familiar with that area, but the Maple Grove bunch meets every other Saturday at @ 8:30, at the Caribou inside Byerly's on Elm Creek Blvd - we'll be there this week! Feel free to join us! We're pretty hard to miss, just come right up and introduce yourself!

(But we hug a lot, so - you've been warned.)
