the dreaded 3 week stall.. how do you deal?
Stacy,
It is VERY frustrating......But stalls happen......Just stick to the program and all will be okay.....One day you may get on the scale and you'll be down 7 pounds.....It's weird how are system fights itself.......You are going through hormonal changes also with loosing weight, etc....Sometimes when we don't lose pounds, we lose inches......
When I had my stalls I usually added more exercise, just to get the system going again...Hang in there.....We've all been there....

Please spay and neuter your pets!

Lose pounds............
...........lose inches
lose pounds.............
............lose inches
Just do what you are supposed to do, and trust that this is how it goes. If you do / eat anything you shouldn't, or if you don't eat ENOUGH, then be honest with yourself and get back to the rules. And trust it. Your body has to adjust to your changing center of gravity, so it snugs up. You lose more, then it takes a break to snug up some more.
Another tidbit that came up again at PNC last night - you may very well start to experience some aches and pains in your lower body - back, hips, knees.... because your body is changing shape, your legs/hips/back have to find a new alignment, and because you'll find you're being more active than you used to be! It's frustrating, since many of us wanted to lose weight to GET RID OF such aches and pains, but it's NORMAL.
So, you've been warned.

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I had stalled 3 weeks out... or so I thought. Then I realized, DUH, I was having my period. Within 5 days I dropped 7 pounds. I'm "stalled" again this week but, well, would you lookit that! Period coming around again! I figure it's a rhythm that'll go on every month so oh well. Had to drag out the belts the last few weeks. Though I'm REALLY excited to be dropping inches it still sucks to have to find new clothes. Really loose pants and shirts suck but YAY at the same time!
