I had to do a liquid diet for 2 weeks pre-op and I just want to tell you its just temporary!! I dont know what guidelines you are on, but I had to have 80g protein each day and once I got into a routine, it was pretty easy. I will say, however, that I had to stay away from food tha I wanted because I knew it would be hard for me to stay away. I followed my diet as instructed and didnt cheat and I was so glad that I didnt. I knew that if I chose to start off on the right foot and follow the rules, then post-op I would be way more successful!
Best of luck! Its all worth it! :)

Hi....after the first couple days it gets easier and easier. Drink plenty of water....add some sugar free flavoring like crystal Light....it helps. Have some chicken broth....drink your protein shakes. Don't forget sugar free jello and sugar free popscicles...they are a lifesaver!!
Good luck....you can do it....keep your eyes on the prize!!!

You woke up hungry BECAUSE today was the first day of your WLS countdown LD!!! Head games. They'll bite you in the butt quite frequently, so find the determination to be STRONGER than those flippin' head games! Whenever you have a craving for something, DRINK. WALK. CALL A FRIEND. DO NOT GIVE IN!
I was on my LD for 10 days, along with another woman I met at our pre-op class - she happened to be a nurse on the 4th floor bariatric unit, and she said that a few days before we were scheduled, another woman was sent home without having surgery because she allowed herself a brat and some corn the night before her surgery. I can't imagine how she had to have felt getting sent home because of her own weakness.
YOU CAN DO THIS, MEENA!!! Come to coffee Saturday and we'll all cheer you on!!!!
