Is this normal???
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my surgery - I'm feeling good - in fact, today is my first day back at work! I'm amazed at medical technology and the human body's ability to heal!! My guts were re-arranged less than 2 weeks ago and here I am back at work!
I have 2 questions from you experienced people:
1)
Is cream of tomato soup intolerable by many? I had some on Friday and all was well....I had some on Saturday and was in pain all afternoon until I barfed it up about 6 pm - dealt with a "grouchy pouch" the rest of the day and most of the next. I decided it must have been the acidity of the tomato soup...????
2)
Did you all have lots of pain from the two lower incisions? I'm wearing my 'girdle' to hold things in which helps, but the pain from a sneeze made me cry out! It doesn't hurt as much to bend over, but coughing, laughing, sneezing is very painful. What seems strange is that the pain seems to be next to the incision, not always right from the incision area. Am I nuts?
Thanks for any input.....
Sue

In reference to your pain, yes, that is normal. The tissue was cut and stretched and sutured. Plus the instruments were moving around inside where it was cut. The pain will get better and subside.
In ref to the soup...it may not have caused vomiting, but who knows. I've never heard of acid causing issues...anything is possible. You are adding protein powder to your soup I hope, otherwise you are not getting your protein in with just plain o'l soup.
Way to go in getting back to work......

I absolutely can not tolerate tomato soup. I had originally thought that it was the milk that I made the soup with because I have become lactose intolerant. So I tried making it with water.....still got sick. So my thought process was it was the natural sugars in the tomatoes that in turn caused me to dump. i only came to that conclusion because I found that early out ketchup made me dump. Crazy I know....but oh how I wish that I was back there dumping off of silly stuff.
