OT - Can anything else go wrong???
In the last 18 months, I've only worked six months, and that was temporary. I re-interiewed for a job this morning and I'm hoping I get it. I had interviewed back in February, but they've still been unable to fill it.
I've been sick for the last several months, finally ending up in the hospital the end of May for two weeks and ending up with major surgery (still have my staples in - ouch!).
Then this morning, I'm driving back from the interview and my car overheated and died. Thank goodness I have AAA-Plus, which covers tows up to 100 miles. It died in Richfield and I had it towed to the dealer in Chaska. They looked at it and said it needs a new engine. They didn't have any used cars I can afford right now, so they called some salvage dealers they work with and found three and I picked the one that would work best for me. It'll still cost me a couple grand. And I can't afford a new car now, either. They did give me a rental car for the time being (5.95 per day plus tax). Mine should be done late next week.
Please swing some chickens, send prayers or whatever that my car comes out okay and I get the job I interviewed for. I can't take much more of this!!! (SCREAM!!!)
Okay, I'm better now.
Until Ifigure this all out, I've got to save whatever money I have and won't be driving to coffees or anywhere else I don't absolutely have to. As soon as I get working and can save enough money, I will be looking at used cars. The cheapest car the dealer had today was $3,900, and I can't afford that right now.

Nancy-
I'm sorry about all of the troubles you have been having. During my last rough patch a friend of mine said "Remember, God doesn't give us more than we can handle...... I wish God didn't trust me so much!" Just remember that as difficult as life seems to be right now that you are ALIVE and definitely on the mend!

Honey, go to www.craiglist.org and go to Minneapolis. They should have lots of cards on there less than $3900.
Many gentle hugs and my fingers and toes are crossed for you.
Please spay and neuter your pets!

Thanks, Farrah. I totally forgot about craigslist. I took a quick look at it and when I get working again and save up a little money, I'll take another look. I won't be able to afford a new one for awhile and probably won't get a loan as I've been out of work for awhile, but craigslist is a good suggestion!

Awww sweetie, when it rains, it pours. Someone may have suggested this already, but have you checked out Craigslist? There are usually some good buys on there. You can arrange your own financing through your bank or credit union.
I hope your luck changes for the better, and really soon! Prayers are on the way for you
