I purchased this cup with my liquid diet.  It is unbelievable!  I can't believe how little we need to drink....I would totally take larger sips than this.......I am so happy I purchased it......it's totally worth the $25......FYI this company is located in Plymouth.....don't waist your $$$ on special shipping since it will only take a day or two anyway........I found that out the hard way!

Interesting.
How many oz. total does it hold?

I think it would be even cooler if the bariatric surgeons GAVE that to their patients as a gift, though. Then our insurance companies would have to pay for it! LOL

The web site says it will hold up to 12oz.  I have not measured it out yet but the directions for the cup say not to fill it more than 3/4 full.  I am thinking the cup itself is 12 oz.  I love the idea of the surgeons purchasing us this!

I purchased the cup - thanks for the link! I tend to gulp my liquids so this will be perfect for me after my surgery this coming Monday.

Good luck on your surgery!  Dr. Lederer will take fantastic care of you!  You'll have to let me know how well the cup works in real life!  I have surgery scheduled for the 21st and thought it would be very helpful for portion control that first few weeks out!

Unity doesn't require a liquid diet preop.  They do require you to lose 10% of your excess weight though.  If you havn't lost the weight then they will put you on a liquid diet.  I have to lose 9 lbs.  I will be starting a liquid diet on the 10th since I was unable to lose the weight prior to surgery.  I hope your surgery went well.

Dr. Lederer doesn't require a certain weight loss before surgery but mainly wants to shrink the liver so it's easier to maneuver when he's inside. You can be sure you'll lose at least 9 lbs. on the liquid diet! I have also noticed (and you might too) that this world revolves around food. I have noticed almost every commercial on TV is food-related, it's almost pathetic and it's a wonder why so many of us are obese!
