Met with WLS today
Met with the weight loss surgeon this morning. He thinks that he'll need to revise the anastomosis (connection of my pouch to the small intestine) - that the area is so irritated by the stitches left in there that it won't heal. This will require surgery. He's ordering an upper GI to make sure its not something else like a fissure or whatever. He says that my insurance may be a problem because they'll say that its a complication of a prior surgery they didn't authorize. But he said we'd appeal and seemed to think we'd win. At least this is progress.

Can't wait to hear what he tells you - seems odd that the stitches would irritate you 4 years later...But whatever it is, hope you get it fixed soon!
