Good Morning Everyone....
Just a update on how I am doing.....
My hip is healing pretty well. I am weaning myself off of pain medication....my head isn't quite so foggy!!
I get around great with my pretty red walker!! I still can't drive but I do manage to get out once in awhile.
My stairs are the worst...they scare me going down!!
Dwayne has been with me since day one....he is taking great care of me. He never missed a day when I was in the hospital and rehab. He is here cooking, cleaning, running errands and shopping for whatever I need. He is genuinely concerned. I know I would still be in that nursing home if he wasn't here helping me out. He has a big heart and really does care about me.
Enough about me...
I spoke to Nic (grandson) last night, The treatments are going well They are very painful but they give him drugs as soon as the pain starts and he sleeps through it. When he wakes up it is all over. The drug causes pain when it goes after the nueroblastoma....so the pain is a good thing....that means it is working.The rest of the time he feels pretty good. He is so excited that he goes home on Thursday....he wants to drive his BUG!!!!!! Nic is my hero!!
I also spoke with Kyleigh last night. She is doing just great too. It is so nice to hear her happy once again. She said dealing with the issues isn't always easy but it is helping so it is worth it. She voluntarily gets up at 6:30 AM every morning to exercise. She is not a morning person so this is huge!! They have school all year long so she will be able to catch up on everthing and still be able to graduate next year with her class. I am so proud of her. She gets homesick but is doing what she needs to do to get healthy so this really is for the best.
My other three grandchildren are doing great. Amanda is in drivers ed and looks forward to getting her license as soon as she can!! Lucas is fishing or golfing ever chance he gets!! Little Gracie is just a joy to everyone....especially her big brother Nic. He adores her and she him.
I look forward to driving again so I can get to some coffee groups.....I miss you all !!!!!
