Feeling Light Headed - Any ideas why?
I've tried to think back to any posts about this, but I don't have any info in my memory bank...
I am feeling very light headed today. I have had 31 grams of protein (protein shake/milk) and have about 16 ounces of water in already.. I have been having no problems getting fluids in since the surgery - averaging 64-80 oz a day.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks as always for your wisdom Obi Wan's

I can't remember...are you on blood pressure meds? I had to go off mine right away because my blood pressure was getting low.
Dehydration could be it but doubtful. If your blood pressure is lower upon standing, that shows dehydration which I didn't know.
Also, go to bariatrictv.com. One of their episodes actually focused on this. It's something that lots of WLS patients experience but we're never told to look out for. I found it helpful but not too informative since there is no research on it really. But it will make you feel better knowing it's very common.

I had lots of light headedness after surgery, even when not dehydrated. Part of it can be that when you are lighter you just are moving a bit faster than your body is used to as well...that's what my surgeon told me.
It seems like its just kind of status quo for a few months after surgery for many people.
