Just wondering
Hi everyone,
I just had surgery on Wednesday 6/24. I had the realize band and everything went very well. My problem right now though is that my 2 week liquid diet went very well I actually did much better than I though I would. Today is a different story though. Now I am on a full liquid diet that includes like sugar free pudding, cream soups etc. Now that I am "stepping up" my diet I feel as though I want to go ahead and advacne it even more (those sloppy joe's today looked and smelled so inviting). I'm sure this is normal but has anyone else have moments like these? I'm sure jumping ahead of my diet will only set me back, but damn is it tempting.

I definitely had those moments... especially with the band because for the first few months it feels like you didn't even have surgery (because you have no restriction usually). BUT... keep following the rules... it's worth it for the healing, the longevity of your band and your success overall!
It's really, really important for the long-term health of your band to follow those eating guidelines. Now is the time for band to heal into place. If you eat something more solid, your stomach actually churns to digest it and you don't want that going on at this stage. You even might be able to eat something more solid and not feel anything, but it's the long-term effect that you need to think about. (don't mean to preach, but it's just so important....) Take care of your band - step away from the sloppy joes and all the other things that are going to look so good in the next few weeks. You can do it - good luck!
