LOVIN' all the new peeps!
I've been around here for a while, and have sometimes found myself - oh, I don't know, SAD? about how many people here I don't know. That sounds nasty, I know.... please forgive me.
But this morning, for some reason I can't put my finger on, I find myself feeling EXCITED at all the new faces posting here! It's like looking at the world, the WLS world, through new eyes again. The questions, the fear, the excitement at MAYBE having found THE ANSWER...? What an awesome reminder for those of us a bit further out!
So please, if you lurk, lurk no more. SHARE your thoughts and questions and fears! It helps ALL OF US keep our common goal in front of us - whether we're pre-op, "newbie" or further out - it's a lifetime committment. Whether we're asking or answering questions or just sharing WOW moments and struggles, IT'S ALL GOOD! Because it all means that we're not taking our WLS for granted.

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I know you love all us old peeps too.
You're right Darla, I'm three years out and I still have things to learn, or relearn. I still need to work my tool and not let things get out of hand. It helps to read the posts from the newbies so I can remember how excited and pumped I was over having a life saving surgery.
Once you reach your goal, don't forget that you're still a WLS patient...don't think you can go back to your old habits; there will be consequences. So learn your new habits in your early stages and never push your boundaries. This coming from someone who "found" some of the pounds she "lost", and now working my tool to lose it again.
It's a wonderful journey!

How nice of you to say. I'm new...well, since November, but I probably have about 5 posts under my belt here. I feel the same way about you girls who have been around a little bit. I have so much to learn. I spend a lot of time just going back and reading the old posts here. I love the MN forum the most :)
