Prayers Needed

My niece is in an induced coma. She is considered brain dead. The doctors are running hundreds of tests trying to figure out what happened to her. She wasn't feeling well for a couple days, Friday morning she collapsed and has been out ever since.  She is a organ donor so as soon as they finish a bunch of tests they will unplug her life support and take her to an operating room. Once there they will wait 90 minutes for her to pass. If she doesn't pass in that 90 minute window, they have to hook her back up. I am not sure what happens after that. It is just a matter of time. It has been awefully hard to have to deal with this for me and the whole family. Thanks for your support!

Dorothy, I'm so sorry such a tragic thing is happening in your family.   You have my prayers for peace, strength and comfort.  We went through something very similar 20 years ago with my cousin - woke up one morning complaining of flu-like symptoms, was in a coma by 2pm, never recovered.    His diagnosis was encephalitis with meningitis, all presumably from a mosquito bite.  I will be watching to see what the tests on your neice reveal.
