dumping symptom

hi guys - i'm wondering if any of you have heard of this before. I finished dinner out (BBQ sandwich with 1 side of bun and couple of bites of bread pudding) about 7:45 my time. I got home and started cutting down weeds for a bit and came inside about 9pm exhausted (I thought it was from the head) and sweaty. I went and took a shower and could barely stand up. I got through it and went downstairs and had an icecream bar (I thought it was low blood sugar) because I was still shaking so bad. I waited about 30 more minutes and was still shaking so bad i could barely hold a knife. well it's 10:45 and i'm still shaky and weak on my left side. Does dumping usually last 2 hours? Usually i get heart palpitations and they're done in 30 minutes.

just a little worried, was just wondering if anyone had been through this before?

Having weakness on your left side is a huge red flag to me.  Are you feeling any better yet?

Dumping has never lasted that long for me.  It can go an hour or so if it's a bad one.  I usually get nauseous and my heart beats out of my chest.  Those I usually have to sleep off.  I don't usually shake really bad unless I'm having low blood sugar, but not on one side for that length of time.  If you're not feeling better by now...get thee to a Dr!

Let us know how you're doing!!

My first and only dumping episode happened 4 days after surgery, (from bean and bacon canned soup), started 4 hours after eating and did last a little over 2 hours. Don't have alot of advice since I've only dumped once, and I sure am over careful so it doesn't happen again, it was the worst feeling!!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!

Well i figured out it wasn't dumping. It was a reaction to a new med I started (and have now stopped). Thanks all.
