Consignment Stores

I have a bunch of nice shoes (some never worn) and nice clothes that are too big for me now and, while in the past I've happily shared them, I would like to sell them as, along with the rest of the world, I'm a bit broke.

Has anyone worked with a consignment store? Is it worth it if your stuff isn't really expensive stuff?

Am I just better selling them on craigs list?

Any advice would be welcome.

I have shopped at TurnStyle for years. I don't recall their cash policy because I always take store credit. I would think it would be easier than craig's list, too.

I sold 60 items and made $200 over 3 months. I gave everything else away.

I think you own nicer stuff than me but I'll take stuff in and find out.

I'll be interested to see how like consigning. I'm too lazy to do that with my stuff. Don't want to clean it, iron, etc. Plus I dont think they pay you unless it sells.  I've sold a few things on Ebay with good results, especially the stuff w/ tags.

(Pardon this, just want to test a few things I found on another site)
