Okay, I can make this On Topic.....come early and walk around Starring Lake, pack yourself a picnic full of protein....or use Darla's newly discovered trea****ermelon yogurt spread over some fresh watermelon....yum...through it in a cooler, plunk it down on your blankie to hold your spot, then walk around the lake before the show. Another advantage is that you will get a good parking spot.
Come with some others so that you get a good dose of friendly support.....
What is it? Every year (we missed last year) the Eden Prairie Players put on a musical...free at the Staring Lake amphitheater. This year they are doing Peter Pan. I work for the city doing audio so I'm busy flying around (which is great for me to be moving and getting paid for it). We always start the season off with a musical which coincides with the longest sunlight of the year, and we finish off the season with two movie nights in mid August (one of which is our annual valleyfair/movie night) In between is a summer of free concerts in the park.
So if you want to take your family (total kids show) to a free show, come out, bring a blanket or lawn chair bug spray and a cooler. Here is a bit more info and how to find it. {Note, the google map on this website is way off, don't follow it. If you look at where the marker is, Staring Lake is south a bit, right off Pioneer Trail. An easier reference is to realize that the park is pretty much across the street from Flying Cloud Airport on Pioneer trail. PM me if you need more help locating}
Just stop by the sound cart and say hi, but don't be offended if I can't chat too long. See you there?
