Just Wanted To Say Hi

It's been awhile and I just wanted to say hi to everyone.  I am trying to decide what to do with my day.  I have had two sleepless nights for the most part.  Last night I had a really bad dream that I woke from.  That is not normal for me, I usually sleep well and never have bad dreams.  Today I am very depressed.  I think this is menopause????  Just shoot me!

Hi!  It's a very nice day out, so get out and take a walk!  I didn't sleep well for the first few nights either and had a really messed up dream also 2 nights ago.  Now i'm back to sleeping 8 hours a night.   Dr. Svendsen did mine last tuesday he was great!

Congratulations!  Dr Svendsen did mine 4 years ago I just had my check up and blood work done and all is well.  I will do something outside even though I don't feel like I want to do anything at all.

Thanks, I go in this Thursday for my first check up. Can't wait to get onto Full Liquids now.!! LOL  I need to get my butt out of this chair and get outside today before it's all over.

Take care!

Welcome to my world of crappy sleeping....I think mine is pre-menopause probably but sleeping without waking up from night sweats would be great.  Can't say I'm depressed - but hormone changes do suck.  I got an RX for Trazadone to help me sleep but had such a scary dream with it I haven't taken any more.  Back to my OTC Benedryl.

Sucks to get old...but it's better than the alternative.  Get out and get some fresh air - that will probably help you out of your funk.

Good Luck!!

This is probably pre-menopause too since the Dr said it usually happens at 51 1/2 and I'm not 51 yet.  I had a terrible dream last night without drugs so I'll pass on that stuff.  Lots of night sweats, I've had a few hot flashes in the day too.  One made me sick to my stomach and weak in my legs it was so bad.  Of course I had to be in a store when it happened.  Thought I was going to hit the floor.  I ran an errand and I still don't feel like doing much but I do feel better.  I have a headache today too.

Yes, any day above ground is a good one!

Hey Gwen - I've taken Trazadone and not had any ill effects, so I think perhaps it could be individual. It may be worth a try for you!

Thanks Amy for posting that.  I'm thinking that spooky dream might have been a fluke and am tempted to give the Traz another try.  No one I've talked to who has used it had that effect.  The Benedryl does make me a bit groggy in the morning - which I'd like to avoid.
