So does anyone know why my weight isnt falling off? I lost 14 pounds the first week  and then 2 in the past week. But Tuesday will be 3 weeks and the scale hasnt moved in 6 days. I feel like I am not doing something right. Any suggestions. I am technically still on soft foods, but have been starting Chicken and fish the past couple days.. but not much.

Haha, you just asked the exact same question I've been mulling over.  I talked to a few people and this is what I have been told:

Weigh yourself once a week.  When you weigh yourself too often you lose sight
At 3 weeks out your body is still recovering from surgery.

It's so hard to be patient but I've started just charting my loss in an excel file so that I can see my losses per month. I'm only weighing myself once a week otherwise I'm going to go freakin nuts!

I see you had Lap Band.  I had the RNY surgery done.  I'm not sure but I think the loss with a Lab Band is slower than RNY but someone will have to confirm or deny whether that's true.

Started research @ 280 pounds
Surgery Date 05/27/09 @ 258 pounds

TOTALLY normal to stall at the 3rd week out. You either lose weight or inches. Measure yourself - I'm betting you're losing inches. You don't lose both at the same time. And remember, you have the lap band - weight doesn't just fall off with that. It's slow and steady wins the race.

Throw out your scale. It will make you insane.

Please spay and neuter your pets!

Thanks. I think I will have to start measuring and only get on the scale once a week. But we know that is hard!

Don't worry about it... you're not that far out from surgery right now... just take it easy and the weight will come off. Try to hide the scale!

Remember, weight loss with the band is slow - expected to average 1-2 lbs. per week, so you are way ahead of things right now. This time is for healing. Follow your Dr's. eating guidelines and make healthy choices. Do not start eating solids until your doc says it's ok. You want your band to heal into place now, so you don't want your stomach to have to churn and work hard to digest any solids yet. Be patient - the scale will go down!
