Frequent urination - common or not post op?
So, it seems post surgery I have a much smaller bladder then before. I sometimes have to go badly 15-minutes after I already went. There are times I go to the bathroom before I leave the house and can't make my 45min. commute to work!! There are even times I feel like I have to go so bad and then can't go right away...I eventually do and its not like a bladder infection or anything but painful in the sense that it feels like I've held it for hours when its been less than one hour!
I drink a lot of coffee in the AM which I realize can be a diuretic but I drank a lot of coffee before surgery too and it was never like this.
Anyone else newly experience this problem? Or could it be something worse?
It's not uncommon, but your doc can give you specifics as to why it's happening to you. If your body has excess fluid, it will pu**** out. I take a perscription water pill, so I pee all morning everyday. I'm used to it. It could resolve itself soon, but if not, see your pcp.
If you are just out of the hospital after surgery, it's very common because of the IVs.
