Update on Jess
They were running late here...surprise, surprise...didn't take Jess back to the operating room until about 11. Just got an update about 20 minutes ago that tummy was done and that they were just starting the arms. Nurse said everything was going very well....'there was lots of extra skin...'
Will keep you all posted - Mom and I are really pushing for a hospital admission....still can't believe they are seriuosly talking about sending her home after all of this...UGH!

Well just to put your jealousy in perspective, Jess really needed to have this done. I wasn't in favor of her going through it so soon (not that it's any of MY beeswax!), but she - uh.... "enlightened" me as to why she was approved. I'd really rather have my scrotum skin than have to endure what she's been dealing with.
But I AM really happy for her! I hope it all turns out beautifully! AND - I hope they keep her one night. My gosh, that's a LOT, especially with two little ankle-biters at home!!!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
I had plastics done outpatient as well - lower body lift (cut all the way around and up the front)and breast lift. My advice to Jess is to make sure she stays ahead of the pain with meds, but be careful not to get plugged up from the narcotics. You don't want to deal with constipation when you have stitches in your gut! Speaking from experience!!!! It was worse than anything else I dealt with recovering.
Good luck to her and congrats!

It's better to be imperfectly happy than perfectly unhappy.
