Good appointments yesterday
I had some fantastic appointments yesterday at Park Nicollet. The people there are so nice.
I met with the bariatric nurse and the bariatrician. They were both really nice and easy to talk to. I found out that in my situation with insurance/BMI that I have to have 3 dietician visits before submitting to surgery. Apparently GERD does not qualify as a co-morbidity, which I thought it did, so that is why I have to do the dietician visits. It's fine with me, the more I know and can learn to change, the better. Then I had lab work and an EKG and also the big MMPI psych test. 567 WEIRD questions. There were some really bizarre things on there.
I go back in a couple weeks to see the bariatrician again to go over the lab work and EKG, then to physical therapy, dietician appointment, and to go over my psych test with the psychologist.
I just hope I get that insurance approval when it comes to be time. I called them yesterday and asked them a bunch of questions and the lady was very optomistic for me. We shall see I guess.
I predict the earliest that surgery could be for me is September/October.
