Ever get upset or frustrated with how much you can eat?

For lunch, I picked some fresh sliced strawberries, 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of deli turkey from the cafeteria today.  After 1 strawberry (Ya, I ate that FIRST) 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of turkey, I'm full.  But I have more strawberries to eat.   After sticking the fork in just one more berry, I put it back in it's "to go" container and threw it all in the fridge for a snack later.  I really wanted more berries though!

Sure is a good feeling to have enough control these days to KNOW not to even try eating just  *ONE* more.

Kristy:

I get frustrated with the variation in how much I can eat.  Lean meat and cheese, though, do tend to fill me up quickly.  Given my clean the plate/empty the leftovers container approach I used to use, it is weird to find myself putting things back in the fridge for a later time or day.

I totally agree with you!  Sometimes it makes me mad, like I'll be all excited to eat, then my walnut-sized stomach reminds me who's in charge!  I'm still forgetting that I had surgery.  We had a potluck at work last week.  I FILLED UP my plate---piled food on food!  Then I got to the table and laughed.  What the hell was I thinking?  Of course I just picked at things and wasted almost all of it.  I was proud of myself/glad that I wasn't able to eat the deserts.  The people I sat with went back for seconds on desert, and I just felt so proud after they were finished!

Ya, isn't it a great feeling watching others do their thing while you do your NEW thing.  I did end up eating the rest of the strawberries and cheese for a snack a few hours later. I've been craving fruit lately.

For dinner, I ate only 1/2 of an individual size South Beach Diet pizza. At least I got 15G protein from it.

First, you are looking WONDERFUL!!!!! And I am struggling with the food issues, I forget as I put food on my plate how much I really will be able to eat and then if it's on my plate I tend to pu**** too far and end up throwing up, (not sure if I still have a stricture, will have that checked on the 23rd) but obviously I love/loved food and its hard to give up all that flavor, texture and taste!! BUT I am learning!! I guess it's all part of the journey right??!!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!

How come they're waiting til the 23rd tocheck for a stricture?

I know what you mean about putting the old amount of food on your plate.  I'm getting pretty good about estimating the right amount of food to get me full.  The difference now seems to be I don't have the fear (for lack of a better word) that if I didn't take as much as I wanted the first time, there wouldn't be any left or someone else would eat it.

I hope the reason for your throwing up, if it's not eating too much, gets figured out soon. That can't be any fun!
