1st case of the foamies
Yesterday I had a reduced fat string cheese as a snack-thought I had chewed it well. Well got a stuck feeling in my throat and shortly after that a bout of the foamies. What causes that? Not chewed well enough? Ate too fast? I do have a history of esophagus stricture but he went through that pipe while he did surgery(also had a hiatal hernia that needed fixin) It did not hurt-just a inconvenience.
I had a hard time with string cheese when I first moved to solids. Softer cheese like Colby-Jack or cheddar went down fine I'm sure because they're much creamier. I only recently tried string cheese again and it's fine now.
I think if I recall, the foamies are caused by your body trying to spit up the food, so it produces alot of saliva to help it along. (Don't quote me on that though)
