OT-Thanks!
Thanks, everyone for the well wishes. Surgery was Tuesday. It was difficult because of the RNY, but everything went well and no complications. I was sleeping most of yesterday and in a lot of pain. I was able to get up and sit for a few minutes yesterday. Today I was up walking for a bit. My pain pump and me are great friends.
This should hopefully take care of all those transfusions I kept getting with that nasty colon gone now. And the good news is that I may be able to get reconnected down the line as he only had to take my colon. I was up walking today. The hardest part is getting in and out of bed right now and I'm tired. Thanks for all your good wishes!

Nancy,
Girl - you've been through so much - how do you stay so positive? I must take lessons from you! Well wishes and prayers for an uneventful recovery!

Tracy, I don't know! I have definitely had my moments. I'm really sore, but otherwise things are going well. The surgeon was just in and said I could finally get off my ice chip diet and move to clear liquids. He also said they could take me outside (in a wheelchair) and get some fresh air. It looks SO nice out there!
