When you deeply inhale through your nose, notice a chemical like smell, similar to like if you breathed in chlorinated swimming pool water? I've noticed this lately after I get home from my walks.  While walking, I am usually going at a pace fast enough to make it labored to talk and I sweat some.  The smell goes away after I catch my breath/have relaxed for a few minutes after.  What gives?

I haven't experienced that...  could it have anything to do with ketosis?

What's kind of messing with my brain today, tho, is my back!  When we started our walk last night, the knee was okay, but the back wasn't.  By the time we did our 2 miles (approx.), my BACK was fine, but my knee was complaining.  The COOL thing?  This morning when I woke up, I had ZERO BACK PAIN!!!   That, for me, was a WOW moment!

I'm still kind of marveling over that - makes me think maybe I ought to slap on the ol' knee brace and take a walk EVERY night!?!

Waking up with ZERO back pain is HUGE!  Congrats!!  I hope that's me one day.  Slap on that knee brace baby!

I walked this morning and noticed for the first time in a LONG time, I wasn't trying to hold back my *****yness when I talked to my parents afterward. I was just relaxed and NICE and I didn't even have to try.  It's got to be those happy  exercise endorphins.  Wonder how long they'll be around for.

Does back pain ususally come with weight loss?  I've noticed my posture is terrible since the loss and my upper back is really achy.  Is this just part of the game?
I have not noticed a smell - sorry no help there.

I think some experience back pain due to things repositioning as you lose.

I have new low back pain that began several weeks after surgery.  Am still trying to figure out what the cause is this many months later, multiple dr visits later. Frustrating!  Not surgery related, but not sure yet if it's due to weight loss or something else.

I fully expected aches and pains I always thought were due to me being obese would go away or get way better after surgery. So far, not the case for me.

I HAVE experienced this but it always happens after I've exercised and I'm in the shower.  It's the weirdest thing but I know the exact smell you're talking about.  Sort of a chemically, amonia smell?  I don't know if it's a reaction of swea****er + body wash or what it is but it always confused me.

Glad I'm not alone. It's the strangest thing. I hate not know what the cause is.
