Saturday Coffee West of the Cities? Hutchinson?
Now that my life has slowed down a bit, I've decided to come back to OH for a while and reach out for some support. All in all things are going extremely well for me. I've moved - west of the cities. I've been in contact with Anita a few times on Facebook and I've expressed an interest in meeting in Hutchinson if anyone would like to do that. I think Marsha is out in that direction, too. Anyone else???? I'd love to meet up and reconnect with those who are out in the area. City girl moved to small town Glencoe - and could sure use a little support out here. And is it true that there isn't a Starbucks anywhere close? Don't know what I'm gonna do. Unless I can convince someone to meet me at Target in Waconia! :)
Without getting too much into my personal life, I've had quite a few big changes these past 6 months. All is going very, very well. I love my new small town life. It sure beats the hustle and bustle of the city. I don't hear fire sirens, I don't hear gunshots, I don't fear my girls walking down the street, I don't jump everytime a car backfires. I can see a rainstorm coming from miles away (even if we haven't had any rain this year). I can see a beautiful sunrise and sunset. I hear kids out playing on the playground, laughing and giggling. The true joys in life.
I've also started playing soccer. Yes, this 38 year old woman is the second oldest on the team. I thought I was in shape. But oh, not so much. But I love it! The first game I did an amazing summersault. And I didn't break my back. Losing more than 140 lbs was by far the best thing I've ever done for myself.
So, for those old friends of mine who I haven't chatted with in a while, I hope you are all doing well. And I think many of you are on Facebook, so I may chat from time to time. For the newbies, don't look back at what you've missed out on. Look forward! And reach as high as you can imagine. Because I did it. And if I can do it, YOU can do it! Life is sure great when you feel great. And I've never felt better than I am right now. Mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Miss y'all!

There is a support group at Dunn Bros. the 1st Monday of every month at 6:30. The next one I believe is July 6th.
With my commute back and forth from Glencoe to Mpls to St Paul and even Woodbury at times, I'm not sure how quickly I'll be able to meet on a weeknight for coffee. But once my commute stops (my girls are in school through July), then I'll definitely make it to a Monday evening Hutch coffee.
I'm going to still try and see if anyone wants to meet up for coffee this Saturday. Around 9am? Anita, I've got your cell number and I'll text you. Marsha, I'll PM my cell info and my email. I don't know how often I'll get back to the OH site (I have no internet hooked up at home yet, so I'm depending on my work computer and my cell for communication - until tomorrow). Even if it is just a few of us. I'd love to have some of you show me around town a bit. Besides Walmart.
I miss so many of you! Yes, major changes in my life. But I have absolutely no regrets. My life is absolutely fabulous! Crazy, busy and rushed. But absolutely fabulous. This is the best I've EVER felt. And my girls are slowly adjusting to small town life. And they really like it. In the meantime, for those who have my email or cell, call or email me. You will get a quicker response. Otherwise if I wait to take the time to call, it may be a month or two. But I've got many of you on my mind and I'm hoping you are doing well. I may even have a little get together at my new place once I'm settled in a bit.
