I am so sorry about your dad...please don't take this the wrong way but the whole getting dad to his funeral was like a episode of "six feet under"

Thanks....... I finally peed in this old shed that had an old toilet in there but I couldn't sit on it beings there could be rats at the bottom!!!!no one ever goes out there so who knows the last time someone sat on it and I didn't wanna get bit by anything.  Just ads to the humor of the day......

As much as I don't want to laugh about you having to bury your father - I have to tell you that I really need to! What a story! You're dad late to his own funeral...and you put the coffin in the back of your van! You are one heck of a trooper - I'm not sure I could have seen it as funny if I had been in the same situation - but  you are one strong woman and I just love your attitude!

Thanks for sharing your story, I know you can understand how it is helping me! I just can't imagine watching my father die AND having a sibling make it so difficult in the process.  I have a lot to learn from your strength!  Don't be shy in sharing more!

It wasn't my van it was the funeral home's van.  It is funny and if you all new my dad he was late for EVERYTHING he is worse than most women.  I think with all that yesterday really helped me with everything he went out in style..........My prayers are with you all in this time of need and you hang in there and if you need anything please let me know!!!!!

Oh my!  what a story, Marsha.  I think I will share that one with my mom.  My dad (he passed away 2 years ago) was a funeral director for 50 years.  They had a of of odd/funny things happen over the years (someone once bumped him and he took a step back and fell into an open grave), but the hearse never broke down.  Celebrate you memories and they will bring you more smiles throughout the years...
