VSG Surgeons in MN?
My insurance won't approve it at all. They do the RNY Lap Band and VSG but refuse the DS :(
I already had a seminar for the DS with Buchwald, but now after really going thru my insurance, they wont pay for it. Im thinking I have to go thru a whole new seminar with a new dr, and I am hoping Buchwald does the VSG so I don't have to go thru all that again, but I was told he doesn't do the VSG because he doesnt think it's a good "stand alone" surgery.. i dont know.

PM me your insurance info because I appealed twice to get mine approved and I have the hardest insurance here - BCBS of MN.
If HE feels that way about the VSG, then you should really think about that. He is a pioneer in bariatric surgery. Been in the field FOREVER. If he told me that, I'd really have to do some soul searching. But, that is JMO.
I respect your decision as to which surgery to have because it is a very personal decision, but please don't right off the DS just because of insurance. There's no reason to give up. I'm living proof!
