can we donate plasma?

How much do they pay for a litre of fluid in MN?
Here in Canada, we give it for free--but if we ever need a litre, it costs us nothing.  One way of ensuring healthy product. 

I'm soo proud of my son!  He started donating once he hit age 17--the minimum age for such stuff--and was able to get volunteer credit required for high school graduation.  He's now at 44 donations!  Way to go Quin!!

Well, I called IBR Plasma center this morning, and they give $40 for each of the first 4 donations, and then $25 for the first one each week, and $35 for a second one in the same week.  They said to allow 2-4 hours for the first time, cause they do a thorough med history, physical, and test you for hepatitis, hiv, syphilis, and then there is the screening to make sure you are good on all your nutrient levels.  I am so scared of the needle though.  But, I am getting a little desperate, I really need some cash right now.  Anybody know anything about ZLB Plasma?
I wish I could do this just out of the goodness of my heart.  but the needle is hard for me to deal with.  I have tried to donate blood, and had aweful experiences with that.

I hate the needle thing as bad as you do....But they are good there... as a matter of fact I joked with them that the next time I need labs done, I'm coming there to get it drawn... so far they have been really good, with miminal discomfort.
