Any news on Baily
I'm here, Marsha Marsha Marsha! Back at work, jumping every time the phone rings! (I have this fear that she'll crash down the stairs or something!
)
Bailey is still home today, but I'm "strongly encouraging" her to bear weight on her leg, get it functioning again so she can go to school! She has a very low threshold for pain and has pretty much stayed off it all weekend. Icing and elevation? Good. Excessive baby-ing? Not so much. But I can't really blame her. It was a leap of faith for me to leave her home alone today, but I need her to realize her own strength, and not always depend on me to do everything FOR her. I talked with her about 1/2 hour ago, and she was managing. Trying to figure out how she could carry her soup from the stove to the table. I'm sure she figured SOMETHING out!
THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has sent pm's, given cards and gifts for my Bailey
she said it's like she has a whole 'nuther family with my WLS peeps! (after fat pants night, she DOES get it!)

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Thanks, sweetie - but babysitting is the LAST thing she needs! The more she's left to her own devices, the more she figures out she can do! If someone is there to do anything for her, she's all over that. Nope, I like forcing her independence. She's home again today, but I made her promise to work her knee - she IS going to school tomorrow! I'll drive her this week and maybe next Mon & Tues (MEA the rest of the week), 'cuz I know that first step on the bus is a DOOZIE! But by then she ought to be moving pretty good on her own.
Can't let them young'ns milk their injuries TOO much!!!
