Quick flight to Milwaukee in a.m.

One of my dearest sweet aunts passed away from recurring cancer Wednesday evening.  All started fourteen years ago, then by the grace of God was cancer-free for seven years, until the cancer returned with a vengeance two years ago.  My extended family is true Christian, saved by the faith in the risen Savior Jesus Christ.  We know where her eternal Home is!  My younger sister and I booked RT flight/hotel/car  to Milwaukee for Sat. a.m. til Monday a.m.  Driving wasn't an option, with my double thigh lift and mini-panni two weeks from Monday, cannot risk sitting in a car six hours each way for just being there for the day of services.  Too much risk with MS spasticity, plus the potential for the idisyncric edema returning from the prolonged sitting in a car six hours each way.  Thus, medical necessity warrants  spending the big bucks for premium, last minute weekend fares.  This family is so dear to my heart, having spent four summers as a pre-teen and teen at their former home in Decatur IL during formative years, helping out after two of her own surgeries, tending the 'four T's, as they referred to their Todd, Tara, Tracy, and Tammy, all now in their 40s.

My parents will be driving down with Mom's sister (married to Dad's first cousin!), so will be able to spend time with the folks, and change of plans for going up to Hewitt next weekend, as will be exchanging working weekends for getting this one off.  At least was able to get special-medical orders in for surgery, as well as coverage for the cat(s).  Am not the type to wait til 'last minute'.  Believing in the Resurrection of my Savior, do not need replies of sympathy.  Just letting y'all know what's up with me, as haven't been posting much lately. Will be very busy preparing essential personal to-do's and med appointments during the upcoming two weeks.  Enjoy the weekend all.  Reaffirm your genuine faith, hold your loved ones tenderly!  Hugs, Patti

Hey Patti-Tat-Too~
Just want you to know that I will thinking of you and praying that nothing will get in the way of your upcoming PS.

I pray that family politics will be low-key, and that although it's sad that your Aunt died, it also is a time to celebrate the fact that she is with Jesus!

If you can provide a death certificate, you should be able to get a refund on part of your air fare--'compassion discount' type deal.

Take care--and God bless.

I am so sorry to hear about you Aunt.  Makes me think of my dear Aunt Louise.  I would give her a call, but she wouldn't remember our conversation.

It sounds like you are at peace.  I hope you have an uneventful plane ride and a faith affirming visit with your family.
