Man I Hate Dumping...

WOW - I don't think I'll ever get used to this feeling.  I had a lemon protein bar this AM and it has my heart racing - I hate this feeling.  I've eaten these before and have had no problem, but for some reason this morning it is sending me over the edge - maybe because it was the first thing I ate this morning or maybe because my food choices are better I'm becoming more sensitive to sugars...whatever it is... I hate feeling like this and wi**** would go away!!!  All I want to do is crawl under my desk with my blankie and die...or at least become comatose until it goes away...

Just had to share....

Have a great day everyone!

Isn't it weird what sets you off on day and not another!!  I hate the feeling of dumping....the hot clammies and shakes.

I hope it passes soon and you're feeling better!

I can't wait to give you a hug on Saturday!!!  OH, and I have your ring in my purse, don't let me forget to give it to you!!

Hugs to you, Tracy.... dumping does, in fact, SUCK.  I had my second "real" dumping episode after the wedding.  They had a cream cheese pound cake for the wedding cake, and a "death by chocolate and caramel" type of cake for a grooms cake.  I took a few bites of each, which would normally not do a thing to me, but MAMA did I get a bellyache!  Followed by a rather lengthy issue with flatulence.

I tell ya what, that Rose and Sherry? They're some very forgiving women...

Here's hoping you feel better
SOON!!!

Ew, sounds like NOOOOOO fun!!

Now for the PRE-OP's questions: I'm curious, how long did your episode last? Do peoples' dumping symptoms vary, or does dumping effect everyone the same? If you eat whatever bad it is that makes you feel crappy, you just have to deal with it and wait for it to pass? There's nothing to do to make it go away or feel better any faster?

Hope you're feeling back to yourself!

**Edited to say I read the subject so fast the first time I thought it said "The Man I Hate Dumping" and thought I was going to read a blurb about you getting rid of a boyfriend. How the mind works...

Definitely NO FUN!  NO FUN at all!

I found this great article on Dumping linked from on theworldaccordingtoeggface.com.  Here's the link to it:

http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00715.html

You're right that everyone dumps differently and in fact for me it's different depending on what type of sugar I eat.  Some sugars just make me tired; other sugars make my heart race and on occasion certain I don't react right away to the sugar instead 2-3 hours later I get sweaty, heart palpitations and a burning feeling through my whole body.  Usually I can counteract the last type by eating some protein, but it doesn't always work.

Check out that link - it has a lot of great info on Dumping!

Thankfully, most dumping episodes are gone within 20-60 minutes - depending on your body and how badly you did yourself in!

Take care!
