OT- Gala dress and hair

Ok, So I bought a dress and I want opinions. Is it dressy enough for a Gala. Also, I have a close up of the front of the dress in my pics and a pic of my hair au naturale. Should I wear my hair curly? I am also going to put the curly hair pic as my new avi.

Lori.....thanks for asking about Nic. He is doing okay. He is still having chemo one week on two weeks off until he goes back to NYC in January. He has mostly good days......he is so positive and such a fighter.
