OT: The Wedding and Pics

For those who are wondering....

The wedding was beautiful!  Absolutely beautiful.  Our time in AL and GA was wonderful.  Some of us got back late Sunday night.  The others are expected back today or tomorrow.

There are tons of pictures.  There are tons of stories.  I had the day off work today.  Started downloading pics.  But I haven't felt well enough to spend a great deal of time downloading them on my OH site or to kodak gallery.  I will post the link once I get a chance to do it.  Just give me a day or two so.  You can also hop over to the Alabama board and look at pics there.  Some board have posted a ton of pictures!

On a side note:  The trip was an absolute blast!  I'm learning how easy it is to get off track on my eating habits.  I'm also having (for the first time) issues with dumping and what I think may be hyperglycemia.  The dumping - at least that is what I think it is - is because I stopped at Starbucks and got a sf caramel latte (as I always do).  I drank only 1/2 of it and got really fidgety and sick.  Nicole noticed that they put regular caramel syrup in it.

The other thing that has been happening - and I'm going to post this as a seperate topic for those who don't have an interest in the wedding and pics - is rather strange.  I've had a very successful time post WLS.  But now I'm experiencing some odd things with what I'm thinking is my blood sugar levels.  I've become a little disoriented at odd times - very shakey - and a sudden rush of feeling hot.  Any ideas?????

KellyAnn,   To me the symptoms you listed sound like hypoglycemia(the rush can feel hot or cold usually with some sweat added.)         Jennifer

Could be dumping, could very well be blood sugar related.  You should check with your PCP, maybe get a meter and learn how to monitor yourself.

I know that I had my second DUMP after sampling a bit of both cakes at the wedding!  It was unpleasant (just ask Rose and Sherry!  ), but nothing that caused me to feel concern as the disorientation and shaky feeling would.

If you don't keep a food journal already, that could help provide clues as to what you ate prior to experiencing the feelings you described...

I really enjoyed talking with you on the way "home" from Troy Saturday night!  Glad you made it home safe - I'll be posting my pics & video tonight!
