Gala, dress?

I have no idea what size I would be for the Gala ( maybe an 18 or 16?) hard to shop ahead of time, that's for sure! I wonder if there is a good place to buy used formal wear?
 Plus, I'd have no one to go with--my hubby would not want to go I am guessing!

 I will check my schedule ( well..mostly husbands work schedule) and see if I can get away from home!  Is there somewhere on here that has info about the gala that I am missing? I searched around a bit, and can't find anything. 

 You would be a fun date!  I will work on getting this all figured out...starting with calling my friends who might have dresses I could check out.  The only other thing I have that might fit at that time is a leather black and purle corset dominatrix outfit I wore for Halloween 3 years ago. But I am thinkin' that might be a bit TOOOOO over the top HAHAHA

The leather outfit could be just a bit over the top.

I know there are alot of thrift stores in the TC's area, I would think you could find one there.  I think I will look at the clearance rack at Herbergers.  Sometimes you can get things there real nice!  My hubby works that weekend, and he has hardly worked since his surgery, so he is wondering if he can even get off, but he is going to try.  What is the name of the hotel it's at, I should make a reservation anyway.
