OT...Howdy!!!

Just stoppin in and saying Howdy to all my friends!!

Hope everyone is doing well....things are good here, just been super busy.  Show season is done...now I am just having fun and loading the horses up and enjoying the state parks and beautiful leaves!!

Champ show is done...we had lots of fun.  Not the best rides, but we had fun so that is all that matters.

I will download a picture as soon as I am able...I keep gettin an error message right now.  So if you have time just keep checking back to my photo album, if you want to see it.

Also something else is the editor of OH Magazine contacted me and she is putting a little blip of my WOW moment of being able to get on Zoie without a step stool in the next issue of OH Magazine....so for those of you that have the subscription, keep an eye out for me.

Well I better get back to work.

Yea we showed at the State Fair Grounds last Friday....it was a LOOOONNNGGGG day...started at 4:30 am and didnt go to be till 12:30 am.

Zoie wasnt on her best behavior, but I don't blame her, there were so many people in our class it was so hard for her to find a spot and relax and get into our ride.

It was a fun time though, cant wait till next year!!

I think riding the trails sounds like a slice of AUTUMN HEAVEN!!!   Enjoy that as long as you possibly can!  (If you ever want to come down to Crow to ride, let me know!  I'll set you up with a pass!)

And YAY YOU for the OH magazine spot!  I don't get it, but maybe I ought to?  We have so many STARS around here!!!  CONGRATS TO YOU!!!

Does Crow have any horse parks, we are always looking for places to go ride?

I think we are going to pack up and go riding and camping...pretty excited!!

Crow has over 10 miles of horse trails, in a 2,600 acre park reserve.  Cowboy campsites & all!

I live right across the river from the park - we hear the coyotes yippin' up a storm every night we have our windows open!  Give me holler if you go!  (you still have my digits?)

I just had a chat, by chance, with the Operations Supervisor - the two Cowboy campsites at Crow are drop-in only, no reservations.  They really don't get used much, because most folks don't want to pack up their horses and gear and HOPE they get one!  Wish I could give you a better answer than that, but it sounds like there's a pretty GOOD chance you'd get one if you got there early enough!

How do I go about getting some passes for the trail?  There will be four of us riding.....

I know you are leaving in a day or two for the wedding...

Yeah, unfortunately I'm SWAMPED today, and leaving bright & early tomorrow morning, so I won't be any help for THIS weekend, but there's a drop box at the trailhead for passes - one needed for each rider age 16 + over, $5 each for a daily pass.  The campsites are $8/ night.

Once I get back, I'll see if I can't set you up with some annuals - I can get free passes for my family, so since we don't have horsies, I can just pass them on to you!

Of course, I MIGHT beg to go riding with ya once - just as, ya know, payback ...
