anyone get  a tatto about ur wieght loss?

Not me, but Darla did! :) I assume she'll share...

You can't begin to believe how many post WLS patients get tattoos when they reach their goal.  I told myself I would another tattoo when I hit my goal.  But I hit my goal 5 lbs ago and now I just have to figure out what I want to get and where.

I'm torn between getting a chinese symbol for courage or simply a number (# of lbs I lost).  We will see.

Kelly- A funny. (we'll 11 years later, it's funny) My husband and I both got the Chinese symbol for Commitment about a year into our relationship. The tattooer put the symbol on UP SIDE DOWN !!!! > So, check to make sure it's RIGHT side UP if you go that route.

Check with Linda Anne.  She has gotten some awesone tatto's after her weight loss....especially after major successes that deserved a reward.  Her husband also got some as she did.

I got the word Believe on my right ankle the saturday after surgery.  I am getting another word when I reach 100 lbs.  I said that would be my reward for reaching 100lbs. 

I have two.  I got a tiny butterfly on my hand the week before surgery, to remind the hand that feeds me to always do the right thing! 

When I hit 150 down, I got the word FAITH with a precious lil' tree frog hanging on to it. 

I know the butterfly is on my profile, I don't recall if the new one is or not....?

I got mine last March, having been at goal ten months.  (Actually first gave it  serious consideration in Vegas for my 50th b'day...but won a nickel progressive jackpot instead!) I have a feeling you will do this, and don't think it matters when you get it, there will be so many WOWs and just as many tattoo types to signify numerous affirmations!  Have fun thinking and planning on what's best for you and when!  Hugs, Patti

After I lost 100 lbs I went and got a butterfly on my ankle and once I lose these last 20 lbs and maintain for 3 months I will get another one.

I got a phoenix on my right calf about 9 months after my surgery.  It was done in November/Decemeber to remind me of my year of rebirth.  That year I got married, has WLS, became pregnant with Squishy, and lost my father in law.  There should be pictures of it in my profile.
