LA,

I'm so sorry that you lost your girl...  Take time to cry and grieve...  She was loved and well taken care of and returned that favor many times over.  She will be waiting for you at the bridge when it's time to cross  :)

*hugs* and if there is any way that I can help out, please don't hesitate to ask, please...

I'm so sorry you lost Kati, such an important member of your family, particularly when it comes to helping protect Lexi. I hope Bear gives you some comfort as you greive for his companion.

I am so sorry to hear about your puppy -- I can't imagine how hard that must be and how you feel. From one dog lover to another......I hope you keep your chin up.

LindaAnne-
I am so sorry for your loss.  My hope and prayer is that God will smile on you and your family as you go through this transition.  May you find comfort in Bear and may Lexi know that she is still safe and loved.

Linda,  we had to put our beloved Boston Terrier down 3 years ago, and it was truly one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do.   But to NOT do it would have been worse, he was suffering, too.

Bringing Hazel home the following week was the best thing we could do - to have a precious little puppy to bond with took some of the pain and put it on the back burner.  We still have lots of pictures of Otis, Bailey STILL has his dish, his collar and his favorite bone on her nightstand (which is actually Hazel's kennel!).   They're never far away as long as they live in your memory.

Praying for your aching heart...  Hopefully Bear will learn to occupy the role Kati played in Lexi's daily life.

Love & hugs to you ~

Linda,
So sorry to hear about Kati.  We lost our dear sweet Archie almost a year ago, Nov. 6.  He was my first baby and was also 12yo.  I still miss him so much.  Even little Rachel (who is 3) sometimes out of the blue will say she misses Archie and wants him back.

It will take time but I don't think we ever get used to them being gone because we had them close for a very long time.  My prayers are with you and your family and I hope that Lexi will feel better in time and not be so sad.

Take care,

Amy

hey Linda
Sorry about the loss of your beloved Kati! I'm sure it hurts I know we were there in January of this year! Sounds like a remarkable dog and a very loved pet in your lives. I feel so bad for your family. Hope things are well in your world and thigs get better as time goes by. I have been not on much and gone for three weeks so I missed everything. Hope you are feeling better also.

I'm sorry to be so late in reading this.  Kati sounds like a special friend, and it is so, so hard to lose them.  I've been through this far too many times in the past and am not looking forward to the day I have to say goodbye to the four furballs that I have now.  The sadness will linger for a while, after all, 12 years is a lot of memories.  Hang on to those, for soon enough, you will be smiling when you think of her floppy ears and wagging tail.

Some may not agree with me, but I always say the best tribute to a lost friend is to get another to help you through the grief.
