OT: A BIG THANKS TO ALL ~
I am so grateful for all of your thoughts and prayers. I just wanted to send you a note.
Grampy seems to be doing well. I got down there about 5:00 on Friday. WIth a stop at the Caribou in Owatonna I did pretty good time. We ordered a pizza for dinner then watched the game and DID see my mom and she got circled by Bert!! My grampa got the biggest chuckle..
He did get quite a few calls from buddies and his bingo friend stopped by. She brought an apple pie made with splenda..!! Didnt get any but dang I bet it was good. He mentioned a couple of times that him and 'Lars' (his brother) talked everyday on the phone... It broke my heart when he talked about it. My great aunt Harriet (his SIL from his brother that passed away 25+ years ago) called him on Friday and reassured him that she was there for him and if he needed help or wasnt feeling good he was to call her... That warmed my heart..
Both my aunties (moms sis's) are down there with him now.. One drove from CO and the other flew from MT. I spoke to my auntie Lori and explained that I wouldnt be back down for the funeral as I am having surgery on Monday.. She was totally understanding replied with that Hoffman wit.. "Guess you dont need those parts anymore huh..." I just love my auntie.. She helped me feel alot better about it all. I didnt have the heart to tell him myself that I wouldnt be back down because of surgery.. Didnt want to put any other concern on him. My mom told him later after I headed back home. He did fine with it..
Again... thanks to you all for your very kind words of support and love.. It was an emotional wreck of a day on Friday. Got quite a bit of stuff done done around the house yesterday after I got home and managed to go get a haircut.. Weeeeeee..! When I left work on Friday I didnt feel so good about a couple of things I left pending so I am heading to the office for a couple of hours before church to clean a few things up..
I got a little long here.. ooops...!? LOL.. Wishing you all a super great day!!

EDITED TO ADD: I forgot to mention that our Ms Amy will update you all on how surgery went when she talks to Mr Randy... Amy is a gem!! THANKS AMY.. Would you mind posting over to the Bama board too...? Love Ya...!!

My Hysterical Sister - I am so sorry to hear of your of loss. My prayers are with you, your family and the medical staff that will be tending to you on Monday. Do you have an 'Angel' for Monday that will post an update on you? If not, I would be honored. I could PM you my cell #.
