Can anyone describe....

What trapped gas is like? Does it tend to hit on one side vs the other? Upper or lower areas? Does it take your breath away when you breathe deep? I know 20 million questions. I have been off work for 3 days due to an allergic reaction to meds. Then all of a sudden I have picked up this pain. Took ducolax thinking I was maybe not passing it along to the exit. Finally passed some this morning. I fear a blockage again! It has been 17 days since my last surgery for that. I am thinking I am becoming a hypochondriac(?) Any information/thoughts would be nice,

Yes, that was kind of my plan to. It is the weekend and I would rather not end up in the ER. I have been in contact with my Doc daily this week, what is one more time.LOL, Thanks for the imput.

I think you'd rather feel like you are a hypocontriac than a person who doesn't want to bother anyone and ends up having a blockage.  It isn't anything to mess around with.  So I'm glad to see you've decided to call your doctor.

They are paid to take care of you.  So don't worry about being a pest.  Better safe than sorry.

Thanks, I am just waiting for a call back. I am guessing that won't happen til after lunch or this afternoon. Told them my stomach was acting up so they know. I really don't want to ever live through a blockage again, Had that 15 days after RNY! Not going there again I hope.

I agree with all you Kelly's.....call the doctor. Don't feel like you are a bother to anyone. You are just taking good care of yourself.

In the meantime, lay on your left side.  That's supposed to help you "relieve" yourself if it is gas...  It's a miserable feeling, for sure.

No one will blame you for being anxious, after what you've been through.  Just take care of you!
