Valley Scare
I can only do Sundays unfortunately... or Sat and Fri after 10:30...ugh... BUT, don't plan around me...who knows, maybe I'll have a different job by then

I would love, love, love to go, because roller coasters are something I have avoided since I have been overweight. Kinda like airplanes. I'm afraid the seatbelt won't fit and I'll be humiliated. Sooo....My surgery is on 10/8 though and I'm taking the full 6 weeks off work, so technically I could go, but those of you with experience of how you feel after surgery - how possible is it that I could be riding roller coasters by 10/24?
As fun as that would be, and as scary as that would be (being with you all is what I'm referring to) it isn't going to happen for me this year. I'm going to Disney for MEA week...and it's during the busiest work time ever...so all spare time (and money) for me is accounted for pretty much all of Oct.
I would LOVE to be there to help tame that SV beeaach b-4 they put it away for the winter, but life pulls in it's own course.

I forgot about the Women's Showcase on the 11th - I'm planning to throw my support up that way!
Columbus day is the 13th, but I could probably take the 10th off and work the 13th...
DDF - I would not think that doing rollercoasters & such so soon after your surgery would be a good idea. I mean, you won't wake UP skinny after surgery, ya know? And your insides will still be in full-blown healing mode that soon after. Nope, amusement park rides should probably hold off for 2 or 3 months, I would think, just to be safe. My first thrill rides post-op came in early August, after having surgery in late April, so @ 3.5 months. And I felt FABULOUS, and I FIT on EVERYTHING!!
Now HERE'S a thought.... in mid-winter, when everyone is going a wee bit stir-crazy, we COULD do Nickelodeon Universe...

The difference is only that they are decked out for Halloween. All rides (excep****er) are open. I believe the cost is >$30.00; but if you are a for sure, you can mail me $25.00 and I'll pick you up a cheap ticket at my work place. It is open from 1-12pm. I want to get there right at 1pm. After 9pm is gets scary and kids are NOT allowed. It sounds like a lot of fun!!! I hope you can go!!!

Lori, I went on the website today, and it looks like on Friday, it's only open from 7pm-midnight. Not sure I'd want to go for only 5 hours, ya know? With as crazy busy as they are, the amount of actual ride time is probably quite minimal.
I'm gonna have to ponder that...
