I got a date with my surgeon
Jan, congratulations on your date! The 6th will be here in no time. I'm in month 5 of 6 medically supervised attempt before they can sumbit to insurance. I just ordered a vitamin sampler from bariatricadvantage. I figured I'd try some of the chewables now, since I have sort of picky taste buds. Have also been ordering sample protein packets online too. I really like the No Sguar added Carnation Instant Breakfast. I keep buying from Cub, getting coupons to buy more, and then also getting coupons for $1.50 off my next bill too.

I drink the SF Carnation Instant Breakfast and I love the chocolate one, It's like drinking a thinned-down version of a chocolate malt to me. I tried soy milk yesterday and it is NOT for me. I will stick to my skim milk. Your day will come for your surgery date too. It's the waiting that is hard. Jan

Stock up suggestions- sugar free popcicles- YUM! sources of low fat, sf protien- I drank a lot of milk with sf carnation breakfast my first few weeks after sugery and during my LD. I also love the Unjury protein mixes- they are the best I have had- they have an unflavored that I easily add to many things- but have to watch when it is heated as I hear it can get icky if it gets too hot... Also No cal. or low call drink mixes- crystal lite, sf koolaid- U will need to drink lots of liquids- Get a strainer too- U can strain soups and such to drink the liquid and keep out the solids during the LD. U will want to check with ur Nut on calcium supplements and vitamins- I do Vitan calcium chews and 2 Flinstones complete a day- eventually You will probably add Vit D, B12 among others but each surgeon and Nut vary a little so you will want to follow the plan they give you.

Thank you so much, Where do you get the Unjury protein? I can hardly wait for the ride. My family is joking with me- My two favorite Holidays of eating- Thanksgiving and Christmas- and I will miss them both- so since I can't eat, they are telling me I can get a head start on dishes in the kitchen then while they all stuff themselves- grrrrrrrrrr.

You won't miss it... you should be able to have a taste of it all, and then you'll be disgusted by the MOUNDS of food everyone else piles on their plates - and CONSUME!!! Just focus on the social aspects of the holidays - hold babies, decorate, chat, take photos - you'll LOVE having those photos!! Especially a year down the road, when you break 'em out and see how far you've come!!

No, I won't be able to taste Thanksgiving dinner, I will only be two week out, but you are right, I will watch the others devour all those calories, knowing how miserable they are going to be after they eat, with all their moaning and groaning and "why did I eat so much" haha. Yup, pictures are gona be taken and I AM going to be in them so I can compare my progress.
