I did it!!!

Hey everybody!  Sorry I havent been on in awhile.  I just needed some time to get all my thoughts/emotions together.  If you remember.... In July, I completely freaked out as I was on the surgery bed and decided to not have surgery.  After much much thought I decided I still wanted to have WLS but decided to change to the Lapband.
I went in on Monday and wasn't freaking out too bad.  I started to freak out a bit when they told my mom and best friend that it was time for them to leave because I was ready to go into surgery.  The second the nurse saw my tears rolling down my face... she gave me a shot of something in my iv and I dont remember much else after that.  Surgery went well and I went home on Tuesday.  Everything has been going great at home.  I am going to enjoy these 2 weeks off of work and concentrate on healing and sipping :-)
I am so glad that I had the surgery and have no regrets.  I feel kind of like a fool now but everything happens for a reason, right?!  :-)
THANK YOU all for the support that I have received!!  I was so embarrased after what happened last time and you all didnt judge me but instead encouraged me.  THANKS!!!

Congrats on your surgery!  It is normal to freak out about a week or two before surgery.  You want to be SURE you want it before having it done.  It is pretty much unfixable once you have the surgery.  You did the right thing he first time..

All surgery is scary.  and here is recouperation time in there, too!  Don't be hard on on yourself.  We are here for your support.  Not to say that you MUST have this surgery.  We open it up to anyone who wants to look into the procedure, too.  You simply weren't ready at the first time.

Don't hide if things aren't going  well.  Reach out for support.  And ask lots of questions!

Welcome Back!

So glad you posted!

We are not on this board to judge anyone. We may have our individual opinions but certainly we cannot jude another individual. I'm so glad this was your experience as it shows the depth of the MN board.

Congrats on your surgery and keep posting - I know there are many researching the band and we only have a handful that post about it. Your input here is valuable.

Rest and recovery wishes coming at ya!

Good for you going through with surgery, even with your fears. I hope you love your band, you sound very positive. Can't wait to see your progress as you begin to lose, how exciting!
