Update

I just wanted to update everyone. I'm still loving the Wellbutrin that my Dr added to my regime. It keeps most of the "food urges" away and I'm not thinking about food 24/7. My therapist has asked me numerous times if I've lost any weight since I stopped binging and eating chocolate all the time. I told her that I didn't think so, but I hadn't weighed. I don't have a working scale. I didn't feel my clothes getting any looser.

I went to the Dr today and weighed in and HOLY SMOKES I've lost about 8 pounds since I last weighed in May! WHOO HOO! YAY ME!

Numbers aren't really my thing, but it's definitely easier saying I'm 166 pounds instead of thinking I'm 174!

I'm so thankful for "Better living through Chemistry"!

My therapist said she doesn't really need to see me anymore, because I was seeing her for an eating disorder (binge eating) that was getting out of control. Since I'm doing well, I don't have to go back!

Congrats to you for BOTH accomplishments!  (I LOVE "Better living through Chemistry"!  ROFL!!)

See how good it is to stay off the evil scale for chunks of time?  If you lost those 8 pounds only .3 at a time, it wouldn't be NEARLY as exciting as one big ol' 8 pound drop!

Farrah - Congrats on the 8LB drop, as well as feeling good on Wellbutrin. I'm a fan of that one myself, although I wi**** kept my food urges away.

Congrats on the 8lb loss!  That is fantastic and it's good to hear that you are better managing your binge eating.  Personally, though, I like seeing a therapist even when I think that I am doing well.

I appreciate your comments about the Wellbutrin.  I used it to quit smoking a few years back and it made me feel really good until I started forgetting everything.  Anyway, I have an appointment in mid-October for some chemical therapy and I really need it - hopefully the Dr. will have a cancellation before then.

Farrah,

Congrat's on the 8 pound loss......But your biggest Wow I think is that you don't need to see your therapist anymore since you have your binge eating under control.....That is HUGE.....To overcome any eating disorder is such a great moment.......WTG......I'm so happy for you......Do something special for yourself, you deserve it.....
