Well, thank YOU, LJ!
I do find it a little depressing, to submit so many resumes and hear nothing. I'm just trusting that God will take care of me--(which He has, with this shelf-stocking job.) But I also believe that He didn't put me through all the edu-ma-catin' NOT to get a job pertaining to it!
I was just thinking about wanting to see THE BIG PICTURE of WHY in my life. Then I was reminded of a story Corrie tenBoom (THE HIDING PLACE) told on this subject: that while we go through life, we see the knots and snarls and missed stitches,---which are the sad things, the painful things, learning experiences, missed opportunities--but when we get to heaven, we see that our life is actually a BEAUTIFUL tapestry, the opposite of those snaggles we endured. YEAH--I know, I tend to paraphrase, and maybe even masacre the original story--but the bottom line is this--THERE'S ALWAYS A REASON FOR WHAT WE GO THROUGH. MIGHT NOT EVEN BE FOR US--BUT FOR SOMEONE WE MEET IN OUR LIFE.
And I shall relinquish my podium now! Sorry for rambling...this is the only way I get listened to!

I just love reading your posts I have a hard time typing what I'm thinking and you do tell your wow well!
Having been a manager I have to agree that 35 + has a better work ethic.
And your life is not pathetic because if it was then all our lives would be pathetic.

Perhaps you're not in your field right now for employment, but just maybe you are there for a reason. Maybe it is to simply spark a fire under Mark to take care of his health. Just a thought. Maybe the place you are at needs you more than you know right now.

I was thinking 'hits'--such as potential employers checking out my resume. You guys are thinking HITS, like being 'hit on' by the opposite gender! It's been toooo long since that happened to me--like YEARS!
