Hey everyone,

Sorry I havent posted much...been crazy busy getting ready for Champ Show next week....wish me luck on September 19...YIKES...starting to get nervous!!!

Anyway on to my dream...I have always wanted to ride the barrels in a rodeo. But because of my weight I didnt even try because I felt so unbalanced in the saddle....therefore I stuck to showing Western Pleasure which is pretty darn slow!!

Well now that my weight is gone, I have the need for SPEED!!!!!! Friday afternoon I brought home my new barrel horse...he is such a sweetie. VERY fat right now, he has been off the circuit for a couple of years and ate TONS of grass...he is so fat he looks like he is going to have a baby. When I looked at him, I asked the gal if she was sure he was a gelding and not a mare...LOL

So thru the winter months Joey (new horses name) and I will be preparing for the rodeo circuit....of course I will not be quiting my western pleasure with Zoie...I love her and that to much too, but I will just be adding the rodeo circuit to my western pleasure circuit!!! I is gonna be a buzy gal!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited...I should have another little get together for you all to come over and see him :o)

How exciting! Another dream realized because of WLS!!! PTL for WLS!!! Congrats to you! And I would love to be included if you have another get together - and if it's okay, I'd love to bring my niece along - she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES horses. Her dream is to one day have a horse therapy ranch and I have no doubts that she will someday!

Congrats again! Can't wait to see the pics of Joey!

Oh man - that is BEYOND AWESOME! Have you ever run barrels before? I just love rodeos - my daughter's best friend ran her first barrels at Hamel this summer, I was nearly in tears with excitement for her!!!

Joey and Zoie - I love it! Have a ball with that, and yeah - I'd love to see him too!

In my high school years I ran barrels.

I took Joey out riding yesterday and we ran a bit...WOW was that cool...I havent been on a horse that went that fast in ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the most breath taking moment for me!!

Cant wait for you to see him!!

What a good lookin' boy! Ah..... If they could bottle the horse scent, I LOVE IT! Might have to come out when you have a get together to get a nice whiff & of course a few pats.
